Scotch Doubles
16-Game Format

(10 point system - handicapped)

5 person teams - 25 game format (each player on the team plays each player on the opposing team once). All Fall/Winter sessions use this format.

The winner of the game gets ten (10) points and the opponent gets one (1) point for each of their balls that has been pocketed, whether they made them or not. For instance, the score would be 10-2 if five (5) of the opponent's balls are still on the table.

Handicap is calculated by adding up the averages of all the players on your team, then add up the averages of all the players on the opposing team. Subtract the lower number from the higher number and that is how many points the lower averaged team gets per round.

(10 point system - handicapped)

5 person teams - 15 game format (each player on the team plays three different players on the opposing team once).

3 person teams - 27 game format (each player on the team plays each player on the opposing team three times).

One (1) point each is scored for the 1-ball, 3-ball, 5-ball, 7-ball and six (6) points are scored for the 9-ball.

A 9-on-the-break is scored a full ten (10) points.

If the shooter makes a point-ball, but fouls or scratches the cue ball, the point goes to the opposing player.

If the shooter scratches on the 8-ball (or ball before the 9-ball), a ball gets spotted to be used as the 8-ball and the opponent gets ball-in-hand.

If the 9-ball is the last ball and the shooter makes the 9-ball and scratches, the 9-ball (or another ball representing the 9-ball) comes back up with ball-in-hand.
