On February 24th at GreenFields we held an “Open To All League Players” Tournament Inviting players from every league system that fit a given criteria. It was nice to have many players show up ready to play on one of the nicer days of the season. The Tournament was for players that met criteria that would place them in the “C” or “B” Division of this event. If players already had a VNEA Rank of “C” or “B” then they would be able to play (No B+ were allowed). Players from other league systems with a certain rank were allowed to play also. In the “B” division Scott Prater stood his ground as he emerged victorious in the final match against Ron Kronon. Both players played a fine tournament and should be proud of their finish. The Open “C” Division was nothing short of just a bunch of fun as Tomas Cordova defeats Greg Zempel to win a big tournament for himself. Keep a watch for future tournament that invite “ALL” League players to play in....It’s OK to get out there and test your skills....See ya then. |
