The 25th Annual Rocky Mountain VNEA 8-Ball Tournament was held on November
12-14, 2010 at the Holiday Inn in Cheyenne, Wyoming. This year's fabulous
event brought out 485 pool players ready to play in 7 different divisions
from all across the Rocky Mountain Region. It was also good to see Naomi
and Charles Castonguay who came in all the way from Canada. As always
the tournament was run smoothly and efficiently so that players always
knew when they were supposed to play and could get answers from the knowledgable
staff at any time.
This year 2nd Chance Tournaments were held for all divisions for anyone
who was out of the main tournament pretty early. It worked really well
and there were a lot of players who jumped right into the 2nd Chance tournaments
because they wanted to keep on playing. Congratulations to Charles Castonguay
- Techno-Jeux (1st place - 2nd Chance - Open AA/AAA), Melissa Richardson
- JE&S (1st place - 2nd Chance - Women's A/AA), Dave Riley - Chey
Vend (1st place - 2nd Chance - Open A), Nancy Davey - GPP (1st place -
2nd Chance - Women's B), Brian Parker - Platte Co (1st place - 2nd Chance
- Open B), Trina Miller - Platte Co (1st place - 2nd Chance - Women's
C), Robert Faulkner - BMW (1st place - 2nd Chance - Open C).
Be sure to play in a VNEA League next year so you too can get qualified
to play in these fantastic tournaments. See you at the next tournament!
