This Tuesday League was a very short session due to it starting so late and needing to end before the Fall/Winter Session starts in September. Even though it was so short it did not deter from some great competition. The Team “WMD” playing out of the Colorado Cue Club pulled it out in the last week of play as they were down by about 15 points going into the last week of play where they focused a little harder on playing hard and smart to help ensure that they win more games and possibly move into the first place position. And that they did. The 2nd place team playing out Bases Loaded was fighting to hold their spot at the top of the league, but on the last night of play they could not put the hammer down and score the points they needed to finish in first. And finishing only 12 points behind the Bases Loaded team is the team playing out of Ziggies. They had a great opportunity to move into the 2nd place spot in the league as they were playing the Bases Loaded team on the last night of play. But, as it were the score was 208 to 204 in favor of “Bases”. Wow!!! What a cool finish to a Hot Summer’s League. To top off the way the teams finished off the league, the Top Shooter Race was absolutely awesome. Try to follow me on this. The Top Shooter is determined by having the most games won in the league, and in case of a tie the player scoring the most points would win the position. So, the 4th shooter in the league (Don Adams) had a record of 21/30 wins with 260 points. If he had won just one more game he would have scored 3 more points and taken the 2nd place spot by tying with wins but out scoring many of the other top shooters who scored 22 wins. Anthony Sandoval lands in 3rd by tying in wins and falling only 4 points short of 2nd. Eddie is tickled to have landed in 2nd and feeling very lucky to have taken it by 4 points. And Congrats to Allen Montour for withstanding the wrath of the league players and taking first in this league. Linda Darkoski.......Great shooting, you were only a few wins away from the top 5 in the league. Stay Cool, Play Pool.
