This “Open” league was a real mis-match of talent with teams of A’s & AA’s down to teams with C’s & B’s. Checking out the standings below will well describe the difference in teams as you find the top 3 teams finishing the league with only 1 1/2 round between 1st and 3rd. The “Best of the Rest” came down to the team from Paradise with Max Ray as captain finishing 34 rounds behind 3rd and only 4 rounds ahead of the 5th place team also out of Paradise Billiards captained by CJ Loveland. Once again, the paybacks for these leagues is not overly heavy as the difference from first to last was only $500. Adam Sisneros takes the Top Shooter in the League with a 79/100 win/loss record over Dave Hubbard’s 76/100 record. Even though the points score was 885 to 881, where only 4 points separated them. Steve Matthes was close behind in 3rd with a 73/100 record. Top Lady shooter must have played at least 75% of the league and Cara Frazier did that with a win/loss record of 46/105. Next Top Lady shooter was Rose Olivas with a 33/105 record. The League end tournament was held at the Colorado Cue Club with 21 players paying $10 entry and $100 Added from the league and a special $200 Added from the Cue Club. All of this made for a very nice pot and gave us the chance to pay down a little further that what we normally can. Handicapping the tournament gave some players a better chance to advance with a 1 game spot from an upper player to a lower player. Ted Brown took advantage of the spot as he put down some talent and finished tied for 5th. Tom Rowell and Adam Sisneros ended up in the finals match and respectfully split the pot as they are teammates and could not have asked for a better day. Great shooting to you both!
